With this motion (NR.344) we are increasing the funds for fractions for the 2022 financial year by 7% on a one-time basis. The impact of crises also affects the employees of the fractions in the Römer. Especially in local politics, a lot of voluntary work is often done in addition to the paid hours and although municipal decisions have a direct impact on the lives of Frankfurt’s citizens, employees often experience little appreciation. Insufficient payment could lead to staff leaving, which in turn could lead to poorer decisions. This is not in the interest of the people of Frankfurt.
