With this motion (NR.274), we commission the magistrate to examine the streams in Frankfurt’s urban area to determine which reconstruction measures are necessary to reduce the risk of damage from flooding or to prevent it altogether. In the context of climate change, the weather is becoming more extreme and unpredictable. It is therefore important to take preventive measures. Where possible, flood protection measures should of course also be accompanied by an improvement in the ecological situation.
