Violence in amateur football, including youth football, is a persistent nationwide problem in Germany, with alarming and consequential incidents, including the death of a 15-year-old player in Frankfurt. Therefore, with this proposal (No.687), the City Council decides to implement measures to combat violence and discrimination, promote fair play, and ensure safety for players, referees, and spectators. These measures include, among other things, support for sports associations, de-escalation training, and a campaign against violence on sports fields.
