Housing First like in Finnland?

Discussion on 2th of Mai 2023 at 6pm. Location: SleevesUp!

Worldwide, there are successful Housing First projects that move homeless people into their own apartments. The first such projects have also recently started in Frankfurt and the first apartments have already been moved into.

On May 2, 2023, we would now like to answer questions together with professionals and interested citizens such as:

How effective have previous approaches been? How well are the current Housing First projects working? What untapped potential exists?

After a keynote speech by Dr. Kai Hauprich, chairman of the “Bundesverband Housing First e.V.”, we look forward to exploring these questions in a panel discussion together with representatives of the Frankfurt homeless aid and the Department for Social Affairs, Youth, Family, and Seniors.

The event will take place at SleevesUp!, Mainzer Landstr. 178-190, starting at 6:00 pm.

Volt Frankfurt: the political party

Volt Frankfurt is part of Volt Europe, the first party that is the same all over Europe. In Frankfurt, at the heart of Europe, we fight for a progressive, sustainable and united EU. We work according to the motto: Think global, act local.

Nearly one million people live and work in Frankfurt. The challanges we face are shared with over 100 Million people in metropolies all over europe. Volt stands for the urban living of tomorrow, using progressive and pragmatic solutions.

We want to implement concepts that were already proven successful in other european cities. Be it lowering rents like Vienna, cycling like in Copenhagen or digital gouvernment services like Estland: we want to solve Problems, instead of just pushing them to the next election cycle.
